Bud Drop.

    This happens at the start of the flowering period mainly due to a temperature variation. The buds go yellow/green and they fall off when you touch them.

    There is not a lot you can do about this, you just have to wait until the weather gets better i.e.. warmer nights.

Pollen Beetles.

    These are little black beetles that get inside of the flower.

    Again Not a lot you can do about this, you might try placing the cut flowers in a dark box with a small hole in the top and leave them outside for a couple of hours and 90 per cent of the beetles should come out before you take them into the house.

Yellow leaves on bottom of plant.

   The leaves start to go yellow at the bottom of the plant.

   This could be caused by over watering or by watering from a cold hose pipe, Or by the roots getting burned by rich fresh manure.
